The footpath to the Trinity Lavra of St.Sergius is the successor to the historic road to the Venerable Sergius of Radonezh, which was traveled by countless pilgrims since the monastery was founded.

People from all over Russia, rich and poor, set out on their journey to St. Sergius with all their pain and love, fears and hopes. They went for the moral force, the blessing, the forgiveness, and knew that this journey is itself a feat and before asking one must tire the body and purify the soul with prayers.

And now we invite all comers to walk, run, or maybe bike along this road, whether you want to simply admire nature, learn more about our history, or physically and spiritually grow.

This path is full of wonders, only a little inner quiet and attentiveness is required. You can complete the trail in a single journey or split it in several stages. The most important thing is the determination to go!
